Family Affair

October 22nd Jonell and I celebrated her birthday. We had a great 24 hour trip including a stop at a new restaurant in Fargo called Vinyl Taco. I was expecting a hole in the wall taco shop but it was completely different. Contemporary Mexican food including specialty drinks. Only corn tortillas made in house with a nice variety of combinations to choose from. The beef and fish tacos were the favorite. Definitely would go back there to see if as good as the first time.

Jonell got a new mountain bike for her birthday. Little late in the season but the weather has been good for getting out when we can and nice for taking the dogs out. Hudson loves it of  course and amazingly Lily has been holding pace, nearly 4 miles she can handle which I have to say I'm impressed. Skijoring with a pug?!?
Jon was confirmed last weekend and nice to have family that was able to make it and missed those that could not. Aunts and uncles above.
Family minus and missing Jake.
Cousins!
 More cousins!

No fall trips this year allowing to work on a few projects. Jonell has done an amazing job organizing all the secret rooms at Maplelag! Ha!

The lodge continues to be "enhanced" with unusual and unique items my dad has collected over the years.

I finally got going on new singletrack I wanted to build off of the current twin lakes loop . The new addition is around 4/10ths of a mile. We started in September and had to shut down this week with the ground freezing down to far thanks to lows in the teens! We did make good progress and should be able to finish up next spring in 2 weeks time. Hopefully the weather doesn't get "nice" allowing work to resume.....would rather see snow!

Big thanks to Denny Barry helping out a few days.
Justin digging through the roots. Nice he has been able to stay through the fall.

When I first built singletrack, didn't do as much pulaski work like I do now. Most of this section has a nice layer of sand/gravel underneath the hairy duff so hard not to go wide, smooth and purpose built like. Probably the most scenic section as it has great views towards twin lakes.
