Action packed weekend.
We had one ski team come up this past weekend, St Paul Highland Park, despite very little snow on the trails. The only skiing options were on the lake and Suicide hill. Brad Moening, the head coach did a great job keeping the kids motivated and mixing up the activities including trail running on the twin lakes mtb singletrack. The kids were great, no complaints and helped out in the kitchen etc. just because they wanted to. I really look forward to the ski camps with the high energy and enthusiasm of 250 kids. Also was looking forward to having Ben Popp, Dave and Josie Nelson, Kris and Kyia Anderson and Eve Stein coming to help but had to pull the plug.
Christmas program at church Sunday morning. With Jens down in the cities, Jack represents. Did a very nice job reading and pastor Jim always delivering a good message.
Jake and Jonell at Wausau for sprint races and race #2 in the JOQ series. Jake had a fantastic day on Saturday, making it to the B finals and 3rd overall OJ. Its difficult to explain to a non skier the format and qualifying but basically skied fast and to be on the podium with Bratrud and Saxton is solid.
Jon had a tourney in Fergus Falls. After church program, caught the championship game vs FF and they took the win and first place trophy. Haven't seen all the games this year but the ones I have, this was one of the best, I thought.
There are tons of geese in Fergus Falls, enjoying the open water. I haven't seen this many geese in one spot since last trip to Sask, CAN.
Celebrating #9 for Jens last week. Jesus birthday next week. Stir some power and
Let it snow!
