The goal to ski 30 consecutive days in March is getting interesting. As of writing, the streak is in tact.
Looking at the ice, mainly the edge, Monday looked like it might be the last day to get on safely, with the help of a canoe. Jake was game so we shoved to the ice.
The dark area was spongy and had the feel of bog. When Jake took off, I thought he was going in but that is why the canoe was there. The ice was waving, but skis displace weight. Some good laughs?!?
Once in the middle, the ice was good and just had to keep heads up for fish house holes that had expanded in size during this rapid melt.
Carlos is a riot. He runs on to shore, crashing through the ice before than in effort to get back on, smashes through but gets on the ice. He loves it though. Jake getting extra mileage from the Sadie Hawkins threads.
The video doesn't capture the wave effect.
Business matters in Duluth on Tuesday and Wednesday allowed a ski at Spirit Mountain on Tuesday which had tons of snow in spots.
Took return trip home via Grand Rapids and stopped by Mt Itasca Wednesday. Hanging on to a little bit and just enough to call it good.
