Last week Jack participated in the Fischer Farm Frazee Extreme CC Meet. Race director,
Jason Sannes-Venhuizen (coordinating with timer officials above) asked if I would lead out the races like the golf cart does at most cc meets. He has asked before if Jake or I would do that the past three years but didn't work out. The late afternoon was open so I obliged. The course was what a cross country meet should be. Running on hay bales with bale barriers also scattered on the course. Creek crossings and nice passages through open fields, woods and along swamps.
Inspecting the course with Jens before the races started.
Log barriers for the varsity boys.
Running the bales.
Jr high leaders.
Approaching the creek. Some good heckling, all good. The kids were great and liking the leadout and many have never seen a mountain bike before.
Good times.
Jack said he didn't go as hard as he could because he was just out to have fun. What it is all about.
