I thought for sure this slab of snow was going to come off the roof of the "doghouse" when it was warm the other week but it remains. There is some serious snow along the east side of the lodge. I think I will have to bobcat some of it away before it starts to melt otherwise it will be a mess all of April I am guessing. I was looking the the north side of the east roof and there is some jib skate potential.
Well, the trails are all groomed for the most part, two pairs of skis waxed which I will test later today and should be good to go for Mora. I am really excited for the race. This is my favorite skiing event in the Midwest. Great finish, incredible course (even though it is pretty flat when I prefer more climbing) and no ego like the other big races.
Per Nelson tuned me into who is hot and who "is really going" so the numbers are marked. I think it will be more of a grind this year with the fresh snow and colder temps. Could be some early breaks. Going to be bunch of fun whatever happens. Ready to give it my all. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!
