Jonell was in Fargo today and brought home the kayak she got me for my birthday. The ice skating rink is like a pond so I took it out there with Jens to check it out. Can't wait til the ice goes off the lake and can go out on a calm night. Also might try going down the Ottertail from Rochert to Hiway 34 and another good spot would be the Wild Rice river to Twin Valley which I have done in canoe. Right now it would be crazy wicked as the water is going great guns. Anyways, Jonell thought I was nuts and the kids were all eating it up.
See that white path in the background, that is the path that leads me to snow covered trails. Can't believe we are still hanging. It is freezing hard tonight so skiing should be good in the morning again. But....if it freezes hard tonight, I think about half of the singletrack is clear of snow as a lot of it is southern facing so might have to do a lap of the sport/comp/expert loop early in the morning as the frost is still in the ground and it would be fast and fun. This afternoon I rode 1hr with the dual. Slow going, wind was brutal so I hope to hit the trail to mix it up (Note: if it doesn't freeze, not wise to ride the trails as it can make some serious ruts so don't getwrong idea)
