The last time I saw Wynn Roberts was at the cx race in Moorhead. Here he is charging up a hill the other day. I guess it didn't suprise me to see him at West Yellowstone after bumping into all the other folks from the Midwest, in particular MN. Man, there were/are a lot of skiers there. Expecting 3500 on Friday. Teams from all over the place. We hadn't seen Piot but when we were leaving the trails yesterday morning, sure enough we bumped into him. It was a short and sweet trip. Yesterday we didn't leave West until 12:30 pm because some last minute stuff with the grommer pickup so I was a little concerned about driving staight home but a 15 min stop at the CO-OP in Bozeman, (a huge natural foods store etc. that is 8 times the size of 3rd street Market in Park Rapids and like the Mall of America to anything in Detroit Lakes, and everyone there at least looks like they are stopping global warming and on break from some outdoor adventure, anyways, great food, highly recommend it)and two 10 min gas stops, we drove straight back with no troubles. For heading out there and back with no weather this time of year, we lucked out.

Even though it was three years ago we ran out of gravy (which I am in charge of) everyone will give me a hard time about it and say, wasn't it last year? However, like last year, I will make enough gravy we could eat it like soup. Same crew of family and friends as last year so 7 tables in the dining room of the lodge put together. Just wish it would of been a bit colder to make some ice of skating. The lake is still frozen over but probably only a few inches. Have a great Thanksgiving!! Posted by Picasa
