Its amazing the cheap entertainment one can find. Jack was scheduled to get his cast off the next day so he tried using it to knock down the next deadfall stump. Next day at the clinic after the current cast was cut off, Doc asked about putting a new cast on since the break wasn't healed completely 100%. After Jonell told him that Jack was sliding down the slide standing up, surf style, there was no further discussion. So, while Jon was at hockey and we picked up Jake from skiing, we went to China buffet. Jack said "dad, you can't take us to the human buffet!" no Jack, thats Hunan. I told Jonell the best part was the one noodle dish because the noodles on the edge were real crunchy from being there from the noon refill and had dried out nicely. She said never take her there again. I posted bail that night, making my home made cosmopolitan martinis. Detroit Lakes lacks restaurants so bad. On the way out through the parking lot, Jack tripped and did like 3 fireman rolls, keeping his arm up in the air all the time, confirming the decision to go 2 more weeks with cast.
Skis are waxed and ready for some skiing. Heading out either tomorrow night or Friday morning to pick up new Ginzu groomer in West Yellowstone. A 108 with dual tracksetters. Try and get a couple days of skiing in before heading back. I talked to Doug Edgerton tonight and he said 3-5 were on the way. I'm dragging Bruce Adelsman along which will be nice for the drive out and back and some tech talk along the way. That guy is amazing when it comes to computers. He's bailed me out so many times. And, gotta catch up on the ski gossip. That will be the best part of the trip!
Will it be dry all the way through November? Sure has been nice for some late season trail work. Working on trail today is about as good as it gets with dry soil and cool temps. Hopefully we get pounded after Thanksgiving.Since the moisture has been bottled up as of late.
