This past weekend we went up to "the Falls" to visit my sister and her four boys and catch one of the nephews programs. Trees make the Falls tick. Of course you have Rainy Lake and Voyaguers Natl park which is very nice. Jake wanted to bring his street bike along to hit the park up there so I thought I better bring the road bike along for a early morning ride and of course everyone else wanted to bring their bikes which was just fine so I was able to pack in 5 bikes in the back without folding a seat down. Saturday night I cruised around town with the all the kids minus David and it was some good times. The Falls has a real nice coffe shop called the Landing. Not a cookie cutter scene by any means. The best Sumatra roast I have found anywhere. I stopped in there Sunday morning after the ride and the guy pressing the beans was all excited to see a biker. He was a biker himself of course and was looking for people to ride with. I was going to ride north into the wind but that would of meant going to Canada and I didn't have my passport along. So instead I went east to Rainer and Rainy Lake exploring the roads around there on a short ride. I hope to get back up there early June for some fishing on the big lake. When I was about Jake's age now, my dad used to take me and a buddy and we would go out to a Island and spend a few nights. Will have to try and do that with the kids and nephews.
