This morning I cut out what I thought was the remaining trees on the UCI course. Had to run to PR for dental with Jake. I brought Jens along so Jonell could have the afternoon to herself since Jon was at hockey and Jack was at play practice. On the way over we saw this horse laying down and I said "it looks like it might be dead" Jens says "dad, we should back up to it on the way home and bring it back for supper"!!! The dentist felt like two cotton balls stuffed up my nose while the the dragsters from Brainerd International were doing spinouts inside my mouth.....after what felt like I had been in a 24 hour bubble gum chewing contest. Dr. Reich is top shelf though. Every time it seems to go faster and he is clean and smooth. Gels and energy drinks are not good for the teeth. This evening Lars E and Steve W came out for a few laps. Since this morning a couple more trees came down. Crazy. Better now than end of August or December. I rode a bit before they came doing some gravel roller sprints. The engine ran great but the tranny was slipping a bit.

Riding the same section as photo above this evening. The track was super fast. The sticks and what not here and there were the only negative but pretty minor really. Super fun riding. Its nice the thumb has healed for the most part so I can rip up the track again. The temp was 55 degrees. Thats almost 35 less that Duluth on Sunday. Go figure.

Steve ripping it through the start of the lakeside drops. The 29'er flies on the ski trail and does nicely on the single as well.

The way Lars was riding tonight, it doesn't surprise me he was 2nd at Mon Du Lac. He is really coming around. On the second lap Lars and I were riding up Suicide and he made the comment about doing hill repeats in the winter. I said hopefully mid November. I thought about it, and along with Steve, they have done all four major endurance events at Maplelag, (Laddies, Pumpkin Run, Lotvola Cup and the UCI race) which uses Suicide Hill. Plus Lars ski raced in the dual meet we had in December, the DL Invite, the Bemidji Pursuits and Sections of course. Thats a lot of racing up Suicide Hill.

Checking out the Skee Horse that Lars pulled out of Soaring Eagles this spring.
