Today I mowed the ski trail portions of the UCI course and cut the trees that came down from the most recent wind. The new mower really cleaned up the trail nicely. I wasn't planning on doing much for riding today but the course was too inviting so I thought I would do a hot lap, literally with the heat again today, pluse I had the two cycle buzz going from the chainsaw. There were three trees that came down since Jake rode last, he was the last one, that I didn't know about that slowed me down a bit but I cranked out a lap in 30:15. I tried to stay relaxed on the roots and rocks as my back wanted to tense up from yesterday. The first year I did the back to back racing on O2S weekend i would always have a hard day after race day on the early summer races and it seemed to pay off at the end of the year so we'll see if it works for VT. Plus, I think it is good to do something to burn off the residual from racing, instead of doing nothing and having the leftover lactic acid from race day sit in your legs. I did a much better job with fluid and protein/carb recovery yesterday that the ride home and today was much more tolerable.
I was looking at the Expert results and noticed there were almost 40 riders. Thats almost 10 more than WORS last weekend. Nice job folks. Every promoter would love to see 50 experts at their race. With that said, I think we should pay top 15 regardless of the field size. (At Laddies I usually go 15 deep anyways so if you plan on racing here, top 15 will get paid) At the awards you will always here a cheer or jeer from riders that were on the bubble. Its also great to see riders stepping up this year and racing Expert like Matt Horner and Troy Melhus to name a few. It isn't easy and I respect those riders that are training in the busy schedules to try and move up. The Comp class is solid as well so good to see these classes building. On the whole, the numbers appear to be up at all the races so that is good.

Jake's idea of active recovery after Mon Du Lac.

I'm trying to make a video clip of all the places he jumps and jukes around the cabins and what not. Jens made it up and over for the first time as well. Jake and Jon didn't think he was going to make it, I think, looking at their expressions.

I like Jakes special dirt jumping shoes. That would be funny to see his picture in an ad... "Crocs, they're not just for liesure anymore"

I am dead sure that you haven’t used www.LeadsByVideo.com for promoting your products. Otherwise you would not have been complaining.
