I'm doing a Nationals preview for the next skinnyski article. I have Hall, Hanson, Zander, Kyia, SKJs??, TJ, DePearsio, Phillips, Jesrin, Ben Moore, Eric Thompson, Dan Meyer, If you know anyone else that is going that isn't on this list, please post in comments. I went to the archives to the last National I went to. That was at Sonoma. The STXC was 95% pavement. Most everyone was running slicks. I think one of the Kona riders used a road bike. The XC course was intersting. It was racing and it was fun.




Just Jonell and I went. The best part of the trip was exploring SOCal after the race. We planned the trip so the racing was out of the way and spent 4-5 days going to the coast and wine country and what not and road on some great trails. China Bowl was interesting.



Doug was at the race and I remember talking to him after the race and he was all jazzed because he was leading the race for a while and I can't remember how he finished up overall. I think top 10. I think Doug could go to the single day Nats and do some damage but he put his time in on the National scene.
This is Monkey. He used to wrench for Missy Giove. Can't imagine the stories. In the pic he was wrenching for Maxxis. I haven't heard or read what he is doing now. Maybe I'll see him in VT. Funny guy.
