So this afternoon the phone rings. Its a girl. I hear giggles in the background. I figure it is Jakes girfriend. I say; "who" she says Jake. I say "Jake" she says "yeah". So I give the phone to Jake all the while looking at him. He turns beat red and I hear him say "who is this". After he gets off the phone I say; "Jake, was that Courtney" and he says "yeah". I say "Why did you ask who it was, that not cool." He just grumbles at me saying something about they were at the beach in DL and wanted him to come in. I said did you tell her you were hanging out with your dad who is more cooler. Last week Jake went to the movie with Courtney. Jonell took him in and dropped him off. Jens was along. Jonell joked that he had to take Jens with. Jake gets mad (well, kinda). Anyways, after the movie Jens sees Courtney but Jake doesn't know this. Jake gets in the car. Jens goes to Jake "Jake, where did you get her, shes nice" Jonell laughs. Then Jens says "If I had a girl like that, I would give her a kiss" Jonell told me and I just rolled. Jonell went up to I Falls Sunday to take Jon to a hockey camp as he can stay with my sister and the camp is "almost free". I haven't seen Jonell since Saturday morning after she was gone Friday night. Seems like forever. Jake and I have been hanging out together since Saturday. Good practice for VT. I asked Jake if he wanted to ride to DL with me tonight to pick up the green pickup that had a oil change and he said nah, but then he changed his mind. I did a fast lap on the UCI course in record time then we rode in. He was on my road bike for the first time ever. We averaged 20+mph for the quick 20 miles. It was sweet. We were taking turns pulling. When he was pulling he was doing like 27 off the bat and I was having a hard time hanging on. Like I say, I am a lousy road rider. The block 8s are just about worn out. Jake is totally into the tour this year which is interesting. Anyways, it has been good. I have been keeping Jake honest since his he hasn't been around his brothers for 3 1/2 days and I have been giving him a hard time about being a goofy 14 year old. Having kids is a trip like nothing else.
