Good times up on the shore. It has been a while since just the 6 of us have gone somewhere alone with no agenda. Lots of goofing around. Yesterday was pretty much rain all day so riding at Lutsen didn't happen. Jake and I were fine with riding in the drizzle and a little mud but no options for the other kids and Jonell so we went back to Duluth after stopping at Gooseberry falls for a couple of hours where the kids got real wet but had fun climbing all over the place. We stayed near Spirit MTN last night so Jake and I did a expert lap. Took about one hour. Jake liked the added singletrack and definitely noticed all the extra climbing. Monday we rode on the Pincushion trails, taking the singletrack from Grand Marais right on up. We checked out the new singletrack they built this spring. Anyone going up for the Sawtooth race this weekend will really like the track. Is technical for sure but flows really nice and the roots aren't exposed yet with lack of moisture so you can rail it nicely.

They really put a lot of work into the course connecting rock sections together and building bridges and what not for wetter days.

Not the best recovery riding after a race like Powder Monkey. The past month and a half or so I have been fine doing intensity the day after a race but feeling it on Monday.
Fun bridge section.
They built a new skate and bmx park in Grand Marais this summer. The kids had fun on it. Jack and Jens flatted. I tried to talk Jonell into taking the tandem. More pics when we get home.
