Once we checked out Spanish camp on Saturday and took care of some other business, Jonell took the boys up to the lake minus Jake who went back with Wenzels for the weekend and I came shortly after, riding the resort route. Because of the dry weather, it was really sandy. Like o2s in spots. I had to take a slight detour upon running into the checkpoint for the Ojibwe rally. I was talking to the marshall then one of the marshall cars came screaming along. I guess Travis Pastrana was running in first, 30 seconds ahead of second. They told me some other names but I didn't recognize any. I was waiting to hear Paul Hanson's name but no dice. They were scheduled to come through the check point in 1.5hrs. Later, I was going to take the kids and nephews to catch them come through but we got caught up in lake stuff. I'm sure Jake would of pushed for it if he was here, having sat in TP's car at VT.




Claire bear is growing up fast. What a doll. Jens latest is we should "buy a baby".

Jonell and I got some good tandem rides in on the weekend. This morning we made our way to the south Elbow lake trail from the lake. It had been graded when wet a week back, it looked like, and then set up like cement. Super fun riding. Jake better watch it, were getting fast!! Thanks to Jonell's dad for getting us out today. Seven kids in the cabin, one sick. We didn't think it would work so Grandma and Grandpa covered.
Thought the canoe races were labor day weekend.
Somehow I let Jack and Jonell talk me into getting another cat/kitty. This makes #5 the last three years. I at least want to name it. Looking at the color, I think Snirt would be good.
