Greetings from Mexico!!! Jonell and I are celebrating 15 years of marriage come December so we decided a five day trip in Puerto Vallarta staying at one of the original, simple, very Mexican and family run Hotel Rosita as a good way to celebrate. Big thanks to the family and friends helping with the kids so we could go. Not much on the agenda other than relax and enjoy the great food and some riding in the morning. Coming in was a riot. It was so crazy at the airport. Walk though and people are yelling out to come check this come check that (time share, jeep rental, vacation packages etc.) even the taxi agents were screaming and elbowing each other trying to steer people their way. Picture NYSE. From years past, the best thing is to just keep walking until you get outside and say you don't speak spanish or english. Snakke Norsk. Well, now you have to buy a ticket in advance to get a taxi so did that but person selling tickets didn't see bike box so when the agent guy tried to get us a taxi, no one would take us because of the bike. So I starting flashing a five dollar bill and finally a taxi rolled in and the driver was all uptight about the bike box. Senor, this is Mexico. No problem I say. I'll pick up up a six pack of Modelo and no worries. Get to the hotel and peace and quiet. Nice.
Today the afternoon spent at the beach down south a bit in old town at El Dorado. Top notch lunch, fresh and tasty. A years worth of going out to eat this week. PV is ranked 2nd behind Mexico City as top city in Mexico for restaurants. We'll probably make three visits to Dolce Vita, the top Italian restaurant in town.
The saddle at the end of point in pic below is the hill/mountain Steve and I rode through back in the spring. Might make a day trip to Sayulita on Tuesday. We'll see.

Always gorgeous sunsets.
