Since I didn't inscript with UCI for another spring opener race and didn't make sense to do it for the Laddies Loppet 2008 race, I put a bid in for an AMBC and consequently we will be part of the National Calendar again. We'll try to spice up the weekend with a required $2500 purse for the Pro/Expert class. Also thinking to add a 4th stage for the comp and experts in the stage race. It would be a hill climb/super d. Start at the bottom of Suicide Hill and go the skinny field then turn around and come down the slalom course we hope to build next summer!!! As Dan Swanson said, "nothing is more fun then a mtb stage race weekend"

With all the campers last year, I think we should set up a stage in the middle of it all and have a one time one weekend band. On drums (Shea Franken) guitar (Kris Anderson), Drunkemeir on vocals (sang the star bangled banner at the Loppet this year), and maybe a key boardist????.... .....bang, that would be rocking.

Coming down skaters waltz ski trail, mowed/blew leaves off if it earlier in the day, thought would take the short section of singletrack backwards to the lakeside singletrack and do some hot laps, boom hit the edge that was covered up with leaves and............blackout for about 3-5 seconds. Can't remember because I was out. Wow, never done that before. I went down hard and fast and lucked out because 6 inches away from a sapling stump that could of really done some damage. Got back on and ripped out two laps. Whew.
