Finally got out for the first ski of the year. Tied up grooming all week and the other usual lodge and kid stuff ..... then I got run over by a cement truck. Friday I was completely toast. Sunny weather and all this new snow and I was out for the count laying in bed. It was killing me. That was first to be laying in the sack on a Friday. I think I got dehydrated. Sitting on a snowmobile all day you don't really think about drinking water and when you get stuck and have to dig out and then shovel here and there, I was sweating a lot and drank no water. Not sure what else it could of been. Was good to take the whole week off anyways from any training because I haven't done that in probably 6 months. Anyways, Jake and I skied a couple laps of Skaters Waltz and it was real nice.




The past few mornings it has been -22 or so....cold weather. Not good for the drains and one water line that froze up. And not good to have the power go out for a couple hours Saturday night when that cold. Had a wedding this weekend and the guests laughed (most of them anyways) when the power went out because they thought the bride and groom had planned it. Fun people. Folks from all over the county. Family from Texas who thought the cold weather was a hoot and talked to this guy from Alaska who said it was probably colder here than back home.


Our cat's status was elevated to the next level. We have lived in our house now for 10 years and have never seen a mouse. Well the mouse scene was crazy this year. Everyone in the neighborhood was talking about all the mice. No signs this fall then a week ago Jonell said she saw a mouse. Come home the other night and the cat had caught a mouse. Nicely done.
