It was a good weekend in Alex for Jon's hockey team. They won all three games over Wayzata, St.Cloud and White Bear Lake taking the tourney. Combine scores of 21-2. They looked very good. Driving over Saturday was wild in the snow. Fun. The nice thing about the no travel advised is that there aren't many people on the roads. (Jon second from right on bottom row)


To be setting tracks on December 3rd is a good sign. Hopefully it continues to be cool. So nice for all the ski teams in the state. Big relief for the coaches.

Time to make the coffee a bit stronger. To have the four favorite blends in the house is a rare treat. I Falls, Fargo,.....the 53 x 11 will be gone this week..... and Sayulita Mex. Usually just mix all four together and grind away.
New pair of skis to get mounted and the new Fischer race gloves..... fit like a glove. Very nice.
For those who think that "up north" is the north shore, Gunflint etc. and western MN is boring, this is a great clip about Charlie Beck. Charlie did the three Maplelag posters and we have quite a few of his prints in the lodge. Incredible artist capturing the "where the forest ends and the prairie begins".
