No dalahest to try and add to the collection this year. I was all registered and set to go to Mora on Sunday but the wind on Saturday covered up the groom job from Thursday,Friday and Saturday mornings so thought best to groom Sunday morning instead. Did ski late morning in -16 temps to check things out, couple intervals, and tracks were pretty alright, quite fast considering the weather.

Bruce sent me this un published photo of Sam Oftedahl. Sam had a great race. Tough as nails slugging it out. Was signed up for the 58k but they changed everything to the 35 distance. Sam was just behind Grant who was on classics. Nicely done Sam.

Nikolai continues his great year taking the overall win.
Nikolai hit some mountain bike races last summer as part of the overall training. Photo above when Jens, Jake and I stopped by to visit Nikolai Sr. after Mon Du lac. Kind funny, that day it was 90+ in Duluth and yesterday this is what Nikolai looked like:

Jonell and I went to the Park Rapids/DL game Thurs night. DL got schooled. When we walked out I said that was embarrassing but Jonell said it was good for PR. At least we had a nice ski together beforehand. I have to say that Zach Lemke is a good player, very good player. Two shorthanders to start things out and on to a hat trick. Not sure if they have the team to beat out Warroad in sectional play if it gets there. Lots of drama by the message board people in HS hockey. Funny to read. Hopefully the kids are just having fun and don't pay attention to it. Like I said to Jake who commented about the quality of postings on cycling boards right now, better just to not look at that stuff because its winter, people aren't biking so they have to think of something else to write about and hard to read between the lines sometimes.
