On very short notice, Jon, Jens, Jon's friend Mason, my dad and my friend Scott went to Thief River to catch the Section 8AA final between Roseau and Moorhead. Great game. First two periods were best then Moorhead "took themselves out of the game when they starting trying to throw big checks" Scott said.

Ralph was a nice guy to donate the funds to build the rink but to keep it going, it puts the city 300k in the red each year I guess. Called the lil' Ralph or Betty, Ralph's wife.

Very, very nice rink to play a Section final. What a rink for Thief River to play their high school games at.
Popcorn there was some of the best I have had at a rink. The only complaint really was that they only had two concessions and lines real long.
Thought about going last week but was busy Wed. but then Scott called and wanted to go so Deb was nice enough to cover for me and cook the evening meal and we went north. Hope to catch opening day of state. If Roseau and Edina play in the final, that would be quite the game. Hopefully I can catch some glimpses on the slingbox. Finally warm enough to skate on the rink in just a sweatshirt. Pretty sweet... tonight we had to shovel a few times it was snowing so hard.

Jay, I just need to know if you fried that bullhead up for dinner? Nice!! First time ever catching a bullhead with a shovel.... Looks like great skiing and great weather for the Lotvolla cup. I'll think of you while making some turns in CO!! (eating your bullhead that is!)
