The happenings of Jay, Jonell, Jake, Jon, Jack and Jens Richards and a little behind the scenes of being run by a resort, I mean running a resort.

I think the first time we went to Sayulita 7-8 years ago, Jonell and I took a small bus there and on the way back we took a bigger bus. We went back in the dark.......it was not something Jonell said she wanted to experience again. Yesterday we took the bus to PV to take my mom back who visited us a few days and we were going to meet our friends from Essex, MT. Larry and Lynda, the former owners of Izaak Walton Inn, their friends Pat and Harry and Maplelag cooks Deb and Carlene and their husbands. We thought the bus was going straight to PV but we went to the resort town of Punta Mita. On the ride over there were only 4-5 other riders. Like all bus drivers, they trick out what they can. Nice air flow action on the seat. The driver went to the same driving school as George Hayes.
Kids sat in the back and enjoyed the speed bumps until stomachs started getting weasy. Jonell's hair was wet when we got on the bus. Halfway to Punta Mita it was dry.
When we got to Punta Mita, we waited there forever and slowly filled up the bus to the max. We picked up fun having Mexican folk heading back to PV. They were having a good time and it was a lot of good laughs. I couldn't understand anything. From Punta Mita to the highway was nuts. We were redlining all the corners and coming within inches of other traffic. I don't know how Jens fell asleep. Back door open for air flow.
Little bit of the flavor. Normally it takes 45 min to get to PV, this trip was 2 hours!!
The texmex beach band was going to get on but once they saw the action, they stepped off. That would of made for good times. We did pick up a guy outside of PV that had a guitar and played. His daughter sang. If interested, post ride video as Grandma Mary chases down the next bus. Down in PV, great dinner once again at Dolce Vita. Some great stories coming from Larry of course and Essex, Montana soap.
