Its good to be home. When Jens woke up the first morning he yelled out "Its summer" If the ice would of been off the lake he would of gone swimming. Crisp and cool, some cloudy days, little rain. I love the seasons. Ice went off on the ponds. Frogs out in full force. I told the kids don't come crying to me if you fall in.

"Dad, its really cold".

Jack's arm covered in algae nicely.
Jack was up at 5:45am this morning, comes over to the side of the bed and yells out "I'm going to the bmx track". Rode out to the bus, he is on a mission. Yesterday he asks how long the Tour De France is. Then asks if they go to bed at night or they just race that long for two weeks. With ice still on the lake, I didn't expect the track to be dry when we got home but the riding is perfect. Checked out the singletrack on Sunday and about 75% of it is nice riding and Jake rode tonight and said it was pretty good which I thought we would be waiting another week but looks like some interesting weather coming up later this week so that could change.
Jens said the bobcat needed to do some work but I said it was too muddy. So Jens won and the first two jumps made back into gap jumps. First time Jake launches off he doesn't clear it. Thank goodness for long travel suspension.
Little tweaking and he got it down. Second gap jump has to change though.
Added some smaller jumps for Jack and Jens.

Jack and Jens found a deer head I think the dogs dragged in from somewhere. I wanted to put it on the singletrack at the bottom of a drop after a turn but the kids think we should nail it to a post on the track.

Glad to hear the trails are drying out. I hope to get lots of riding in out there before the dreaded flys return :)

I rode a lap late this afternoon and Jake and Steve Wenzel rode this evening..... the singletrack has dried out completely now. A little leaf blowing and signage and good to go....but looks like trail riding will be on hold now for a few days.
