Seemed like when I was younger I was always using a blow torch. Had one in the hockey bag all the time for taking off replacement blades on the aluminum stick and putting illegal curves. Even waxed skis in later years. They made this attachment to put on the end you could use to smooth out wax. Think the last time I used a blow torch was putting the finishing touches on some creme brule.

Coming home from Jon's hockey tonight I saw this guy biking and I thought it looked like Blowtorch. I slowed down, turned around and sure enough it was. Blowtorch worked at Maplelag back in the late 70's helping with construction. My Dad gave him that name because he liked to talk a lot, loud I guess. I asked him what he was up to and he said he is trying to grow a lot of squash this summer.
Lives 11 miles out of town and bikes to and fro. He said he mounted the second handlebar because he didn't "want to stand on his head so he could pedal his bike". Good stuff. He's got a nice set up.
