A great day at Chequemegon with Jake taking the WIN in the Short and Fat. Jonell and I were pumped we could be there at the finish. We had some timing chain problems that took us out of "race" mode but we had a good ride nontheless. Full report when we get home on Sunday or Monday but a few pics below.

Jon "the number one cheerleader" and the only family member catching Jake roll to the line for the win. Jack and Jens with Jonell's sisters' with PKD walk.

Post race with Luke Baker (3rd) and Aristotle Peters (2nd) Lots of fast Jrs in the top 10 and a exciting race among them.
On top of the podium.

Young guns flexing the guns. Good to see the JR riders dominate the race.

Lars finishing strong. He went to the start at 5:45am to get his bike on the line. Had some back problems but a solid race for the first time giving it a go. 17 years ago I took the win in the Short and Fat and seeing Jake do it today was pretty special. Jonell and I were very proud. Should be another fun day tomorrow with Crit and hill climb action.

Sweeeeet! Look at the times of the past winners. I wonder how old The likes of Divine and the other pros were when they won. He's got a bright future.
