Some mornings you wake up, step outside and know it is going to be pretty much a perfect winter day. There is just a certain feel that is hard to describe. Today was one of those days. Lucky to get a tempo skate ski in the morning and then a couple hours classic in the afternoon.
Kids all getting outside right away after school while Jon in town for hockey tuning up for big Fargo INTL squirt tourney this weekend.

Skiing in to the sun on Island lake was nice. I started out with blue extra but that just wasn't getting seeded after five minutes so came back and went red special and good go to go rest of the day.

Jens out grew his skates so he got a new pair and all he wants to do is skate. Trying to work on stopping by he just keeps the wheels moving.

With the economy blah blah blah, distributors are running crazy specials. Have been able to sauce up the rental shop and picked up a snowboard for Jack for $39. Jack practicing up for a possible trip to Big Mountain. Would be fun to take the train out.
Jake ventured out today for his first "off road" ride, riding from inside the house, down the steps and on the road. He has been riding his trainer a bit and you probably knew that if you are in to the facebook thing. I dropped Facebook. Just don't have time for that, plus a bit to sugarcoated cookie cutter for me and trying to keep this thing active. Lucky has been the coolest dog. Nothing we do now gets him excited. I can groom within inches of him and he doesn't even move. Same when riding. When things are looking sketchy, then he might move, like in the bmx track.
Matt Johnson family at Maplelag last weekend. Matt has always done a nice job waving the flag for Maplelag and responsible for the new poster you will see at local bike shops in the Midwest. Matt along with Gary Sjhoquist, Jeff Robertson, and Dana Schoppe working hard to bring some nice things to the MNSCS this year.
Mystery can coming home for Jens. When I was in Kindergarten, it was the highlight of the year. I was going to sneak a tube of klister in there but I missed. If you are into section hockey and haven't seen this links, Here is AA and here is A. Pretty sure the guy keeps them active. Lots of games tonight. I think Alex will upset Little Falls and TRF will do the same over Warroad but don't think Roseau will take down Moorhead this year.
