Exactly two years ago today we wrapped up a weekend of Spring mtb racing with a UCI race here at Mapelag. Some of the out of state Pros I see at the Nationals and what not have asked if we will ever do that again and I am not really sure. Maybe tie it in to the Laddies Loppet for 2010 or possibly do a Spring race again in 2010. Another possibility is doing a point to point race in the Spring. As I mentioned before, once we complete the singletrack loop we are working on to the west, a point to point race will be more likely. I am still exploring some trail options in the area and would prefer to keep it as local as possible with a start and finish here instead of crossing all over the place. Looking at how far the leaves were along that year, we are at least two weeks behind this year compared to 2007.
