Hard to believe we are at early March. March is pretty much awesome. If you have had a good snow year like we have had this year, you can count on March for a solid base of snow to hopefully play on the rest of the month. Doesn't take many days to get to Springlike conditions but some of the best skiing of the year in my opinion with long days and bright sunshine. If things fall in to place, hoping to pull this off this year or a Hiterdal to Maplelag crust ski type of thing. Anyways, roads start drying up etc. and thoughts about riding but that will happen when it feels right.

Skater traffic has been light the past few weeks so I have been lucky to cut the fresh cord a few mornings and even in the afternoon when no one has skied on it during the day.

Winter activities winding down for the kids. Jack played the "Grandpa" role is school play last week and did a great job, waving the stormy kromer flag nicely. Couple video clips for the family to check out. One more day of b ball games for Jack then he is done.

Jon finished his season the other weekend, losing out in district play. They had a nice season with some solid games but just missed out in regional play. Jon stuck his first 360 last weekend on the jump we built at the bottom of Mt Maplelag. Still have decent ice on the ice rink with some touch up and floods recent nights and hopefully can skate most of this month. Jens wrapping up his season as well and has been on the ice the most. The rink can go quick with just the sun beating down on the dark spots.
Jake catching some air at dusk. After Lotvola weekend, plan on building up kicker in the "back bowl" or sledding hill called project May.....snow piled up high and with exposure to the north, planning on having snow there until May 1!! Jake raced in Bemidji the other weekend, having a great race taking second overall behind Blake Hillerson in the 25km Bemidjithon skate race.
One more ski race with Lotvola Cup this weekend. Weather is always iffy this time of year which makes it all that more interesting and fun!
