Wheels Moving

The end of the school year is always a busy time with graduations and for us, spring hockey.
The wheels have been moving in every direction but also trying to keep the bicycle wheels moving. Down in the cities enjoying a quiet roads in the south metro area. Even after heavy rain, this quiet gravel in the south metro is one of the best roads around.

Jonell up way north with Jack and Jens for nephew Marco's hs and community college graduation. Nicely done Marco.

Jon had his first tourney with the CanAm team, players from northern MN and a few from Canada. Only a few tourneys with this team and amazing the core group is still together. Once summer teams hit the 15 age, they typically fall apart.  Most recent tourney was good to connect with scouts, advisors and get feedback on the next steps. After following Jon's birth year group in the state of MN, you get to know a lot of players and parents and at tournaments held at the Schwan super rink, it is easy to make conversation with connections made over the year.

With most of our snow days taking place over Easter, we had just one day to make up but still out the third week of May. Last year having one in middle school. Next year Jon will be in 10th grade, Jack in 8th, and Jens in 5th.

The woods are slowly coming to life. Seems more like April 24th than May 24th. Good to be back on the singletrack.
