The rain event Sunday didn't turn to snow as forecasted. To the northeast they got dumped nicely but just a dusting around here. Seems like it has been snow free for a very long time and it is only mid April. Still a head shaker. Looking back, most years we still have snow and skiing.
With the relatively dry conditions, the mountain biking has been incredible and really some of the best riding of the year with good sight lines, no bugs and pleasant temps. Jake is running track this year so we haven't had any rides together but got a good lap in late Saturday evening under pretty much perfect conditions.
Saturday helped put the dock in at the lake cabin. Pretty incredible day. Jake and Jon seasoned from ice baths to go waiter free.
Let the kids do it.
As it did here, I am sure the grooming came to an end much too soon for the Night Rider snowmobile club. Still have a few grooming implements waiting for a spring dump before going to storage.
Thought be good to drop the boys and nephews off for a overnight day camp but it wasn't open yet.
Friday night at home it was just Jonell, Jon and I and eerily quiet. All changed with all boys back and four cousins for front yard action.
Another good night to end the day with campfire.
