Trying to hang on in the Mora 35k. Yesterday was tough. I started out nicely like I wanted to, getting in the front group of about 20 or so. The field was stacked. The front group stayed together for about 10k then there were some attacks after the second feed and the group broke into two. I didn't try going with the front group as I knew I was at my limit. The pace was a bit more to my liking in that second group but the damage was already done. I just was not ready for that hard of a start and it put me under/over, hurt tank, whatever. My upper body got super stiff and I wasn't sure why. Maybe from grooming on Fri and Sat. Don't like to make excuses. The best part of the race was skiing across snow covered fields. It was like being on a glacier or something. Seeing who was in the front group, I thought I could ski that pace but then again there were some fast guys there. I probably would of had a better race if I would of started out a bit slower and then cranked it up after 5-8 k. But when there is a group, you have to try and ski with them otherwise being out in no mans land is tough. On the way home I was just bushed. I had to stop in Wadena, pull over, and take a 20 minute snooze.

My mom covered for me in the lodge so Jonell and I took the foreign staff and Jack and Jon to Pink Panther last night. There were some good laughs and the kids seemed to like it even though it was one of those movies that can be funny but not very good.
