When I stepped out this morning it was snowing. Just a few flakes but nontheless, it was white gold falling from the sky. I start praying for snow now for November and December so I take it as a sign that God is listening. I figure the windchill when riding today was around 20's. I was dressed for it. I counted many days on where it was warmer grooming than today. The air seems fresher when it is colder and folks burn wood for heat around here so when riding I like the smell of maple and oak, ash, ironwood, birch etc. This afternoon I mowed around the grounds were the grass was getting long since Jens has been dying to go on the mower. Three hours we bounched around....Jens slept for 20min....I don't know how. But when I got off I was stiff like a frozen cat. Bound to get a shake of cold weather since April was relatively warm. Back in 1967 or something the morning low on this date was 6 degrees in Crookston and 7" of snow. We missed out on a spring storm this year. Still could happen I guess. Yesterday I was going to go to Rollag but we ended up riding on the trails, doing some intervals. Won't be racing this weekend as kids have Sunday school program and group on Fri and Sat. Good luck to those that are!
