The course covers mainly gravel roads with a few pavement sections, four wheeler trails, logging roads, ski trails at Maplelag and possibly Rainbow Resort, and just a few short sections of singletrack. Total ride distance is 35-45 miles. The pace will be easy to moderate and no riders will be left behind or "dropped". I will be providing shuttle service at no charge from Maplelag to the start and lunch afterwards. Bring a suit for a jump in the lake afterwards. We will meet at 9:30am at Maplelag and shuttle to Pinehurst at that time. Tenative riders include the Oftedal bros, Zigs and would be great to have anyone else. More of a sport/comp/expert ride.
Today I was running chainsaw, cutting logs on the new singletrack completely drenched in sweat.I'm ready for Red Wing. Seems like the best time to build singletrack (fall and spring) finds me too busy with other stuff. But with all the new stuff we have added this year, I am pretty stoked. Might try to sneak one more short section yet this year.
