Oh my gosh was it toasty today. Everyone is talking about the heat and I have to talk about it as well. I love this course but it was hard to enjoy it when it felt like a matter of survival. A full five laps. I remember Buck Hill one year, maybe in 95 when the race used to be in August and it was like 100 and 110 heat index or something.....felt like that today. However, we only raced for one hour at Buck and today we did two hrs. Everyone that finished in all the races today are heroes in my book. The regulars were making it a race and there was no slacking allowed, which is good. Crazy sprint with Sam at the end. Brendan had super power on the doubletrack I just couldn't match. Happy with third and Jake was happy with his third place as well. Check out Hollywood. ( I might of cropped the photo to much) Yikes. He cashed out his ticket to Dr. Snip Snip. He still recovered and moved to the front and pulled us through. Taking four days off the bike than hit it hard rest of week. We have two nephews here this week, Jonell's dad has hip replacement surgery this week ( I will let you know how it goes Floyd) and Jon has hockey camp so another full plate on tap. Going to Rainbow on Thurs, if I can, to figure out the loop there. A few more riders confirming for Sat. Should be fun. Hope to see you here. e-mail with any ? Monday morning and can finally turn the air off. Nice to see and nw breeze and in the 60's again. Can't believe it didn't storm with all that heat bottled up.Posted by Picasa
