Finally got out ricing. Took Jake, Jack and Jens. It has been like 5-6 years last time I went. Last time I went was with Jonell's dad and we ended up with 70# of finished which was a good jag. The harvesting season is at the tail end so we didn't get much the two hours we were out but fun to show the kids what it was like and a beautiful day on the shores of Bullhead lake.
We just wrapped up another wedding weekend. The family was incredibly nice and have been coming for many years in the winter. The Eisinger family. I got to now Rolf when he was skiing and watched him at State nord. He was cycyling for a team out west this summer and did pretty good in the Cascade Classic. Anyways, I did burgers on the grill for 140 people on Friday night. I got a good system down. 24 a shot and new charcoal each batch to keep the heat down. The guy in the bottom, had to keep an eye on him...he was putting down the Samuel Adams quite nicely. The tandem has been just a blast. Doing a bit more trail riding and Jonell getting a bit more comfortable with the speeds. We did a 20 mile ride last week, just over a hour. Have no expectations for the short and fat but we both feel real good where we are at. Tomorrow we are going to Pinehurst for the morning to get a race simulation like ride while her dad watches Jens and the rest of the week we will ride on the trails when we can. Either way, should be a super fun weekend. Jake is racing short and fat as well.
