Yep, everything was all set for the weekend. We just didn't plan on Jack being at the hospital all weekend. As it turned out, the bone had gone through his skin and back so the surgeon was concerned about infection so he had emergency surgery to clean things out and spent the rest of the weekend with two iv's running through him. Surgery this morning to make sure no infection and in the clear there and finally got a cast on. Jonell spending the night with him tonight and he gets to come home tomorrow. Jack has been a trooper with no whining and in great spirits. What a wild weekend though. Jonell and I running back and forth all the while we were pulling off our largest wedding ever. I hope I don't have to spend another night trying to sleep in a hospital chair. Big thanks to Steve and Kriston Wenzel for coming out and helping Saturday afternoon and night. They pulled the bartender shift and did quite nicely. No stories from me, you will have to ask them about it!! The trip out east looks to happen. Will be attending the CCSAA conference and actually speaking at one of the sessions, hook up with Zigs at U of VT, visist Charlie at Trapp Family, probably visit some other Nordic centers, hook up with a UCI promotoer in NH, than down to Hartford for UCI cyclocross race on Nov. 4th. Just no time for training this week with Bob here cutting new ski trail and multiple groups and another big wedding on the weekend. So will take the week off and try to get some hours in the three weeks in October.

Jack must be a tough kid. This past Saturday Alex fell over and cut his head down to the skull -- 4 stiches. Oddest thing. Give him $5 to buy some anti-dog spray or something. :-)
Thats a wicked stitch job. Jack had something like that on his chin when Jon ran into him with a broken plate when he was on rollerskates in the basement of the lodge. Anyways, I hope your son is doing okay. Jack is doing great. Probably more active than he should but what do you do.
