Well, didn't take long to end the ski season. One last desperation ski on Monday. Slowly getting into the riding. A few sessions of climbing this week with some 7 minute climbs today, not pushing it too hard at this point because normally that swamp to top of west climb should take 5 min. Can't believe how quickly things dried up but rain this afternoon has things soft again. Should take out the frost nicely now. Riding on the road has been tough. Just keeping them short and sweet. The wind has been doing a number on Jen's hair for some reason. (pic for you Hanne!) Thankfully the bball court is clear so the kids have been biking and shooting hoops on that. Callaway PO has seen some serious mail from Maplelag. Jim, the Postmaster, does a great job stamping the letters. Got the label list for all licensed riders in the US. ND has three licensed riders in MTB. Hopefully we can get some more on that list. MN ranks in the top 10 in the US for licensed riders. (166 total I think for mtb) MN has about 800 riders, don't quote me on that, for track/road and cx. CO has 1300 I think. I thought that number would of been higher. CA tops the list for all diciplines. Anyways, interesting to look at the breakdown. Whats Jake doing driving? Been letting him drive home on the driveway. He's been doing pretty good.

Will we need a USA cycling license to race on Sunday? Is there a Comp class anymore?
Thanks for asking. Beginner and Sport riders may race without an annual USAC-MTB or international license, but they'll need to purchase a one-day and sign the USAC-MTB athlete release form at race registration. Maplelag will cover the expense of single day licenses. Expert and Semi-pro riders need to have at least a domestic USAC-MTB license and Pros need to have an international license. If you race Comp in the MNSCS or WORS, you would race Expert on Sunday. The Comp class is a class that was made up by WORS maybe 6-7 years ago. The MNSCS adopted this class the following year the best of my knowledge. If you race Expert in WORS or MNSCS you need an USAC-MTB annual license. Let me know if any other questions.
Thanks for the explanation. I'll have to get my NORBA license renewed.
