Fall on the prairie is like nothing else. Had to run to Fargo again this afternoon after a morning of rock moving. The drive home back towards the woods was a trip. The sugar beet harvest is cranking up. Watch out for the trucks and flying beets. It was 73 in Fargo and when I got to Maplelag it was 66. The last year I can honestly say that every time I have gone to Fargo it has been 4-7 degrees cooler upon arrival home. DL to Maplelag is in the 3-6 range difference. Tonight date night and 66 in DLand then when we get to Richwood, light rain and temp was 55. Reminds of winter when DL might be lingering flurries and then snow pounding when you round the corner at Richwood. Pretty soon the clippers will be rolling across, blasting us with some superfluff. Can hardly wait.Weather is fascinating (the 12-48 hour forecasts on this seem to be pretty right on. Check on the 24 for snow in Canada) I looked at the sleds today and they are all set to come flying out of the cathouse and packing out that first snowfall. And I'll be hitting the ground with the skis, wondering if I should be out there. Anyways, thinking about prairie, not sure if I will go to Canada with my dad for the annual goose hunting trip. The best part is just watching the birds fly off the lake at the crack of dawn and the beautiful praire. It will be a 11th hour decision. I bought 8 boxes of shells today for the fall. Hopefully we get a few scaup.

Cheq. preview tomorrow night for skinnyski. One more tandem ride with Jake before school and Jonell and I doing a 2 hour ride at Pinehurst rollers if we get our forms set up for a Wed pour in front of lodge entrance.
