One more MNSCS race to knock out. Looks like Jake will be racing Comp. Telling him to just look at it like a "ride" and go from there. Since he will be racing Comp next year, it will be a little taste of what to expect next year. Jon wants to race so that means getting at the venue at 8:30am so he can do Kids Comp. Bringing the other two boys as well. I have full plate up until tomorrow night doing bbq and bonfire with the wedding so can't leave Friday night. I just need a race to make 7 so I'll have a conservative start and make sure the kids are all set and have a good time. I haven't done a ride over 2 hours since Powder Monkey so I'll just take it as it comes. For the record, Spring Cup and Laddies were DNS since I was jammed on Spring Cup so another race and I should at least hang on to my spot on the overall, maybe move up one and move up on the age group. Whatever. Should be a good race. Brendan and Sam battling for the overall. Fisher and Hanson have nothing to lose really so they will go hard, Paul for sure, Jeff will probably be there and probably pull away. Sam will ride conservative and maybe make it exciting on the last lap. We'll see.

When we were riding with Lars the other night, he said "I was attacking the hills like Jesrin, and it works" I remember the old days racing the Cable Crit and it was always cool watching the big dogs race and seeing how they did it up close and personal. There used to be so many people doing the Crit they would have age class heats then a age class final. Now they are combining classes.

Another post Cheq. comment from Jake was "Dad, you should grow your hair out" And what, "do the schlong" I said. I played hockey. I had hockey hair but never had the schlong. The above pic is classic. I love stuff like that. Jonell and I busted a gut two times over when we were reading Jesse's recap. I was sitting next to Susan Haywood and Lea Davidson at the awards banquet and they were just eating up the mullet action. Lets just say they liked the Wisconsin boys. I didn't tell them Eppen was from Iowa.
Cross season cranks up at MB Johnson this weekend and across the country, really. Raced there last year, was fun. Racing in snow and mud would be a blast. All the cross races I have done have been sunny and nice which doesn't seem right. The date of state this year is the exact same date Bruce and I were in West last year. (Thats Bruce cranking it nicely on the class track)
I put a order in for a new Ginzu and was thinking I would pick it up in November again but they ended up delivering it in late February since someone else cancelled a order so they cut me a deal and shipped.
Now I don't have an excuse to go out because we should be set for the winter on Ginzu action.
