Today we had the big FFA rally at Maplelag. 45o kids from NW Minnesota. I'm talking TRF, Hawley, Mahnomen, Fosston, Greenbush, Crookston, DL to name a few (Not St. Cloud, Milaca, Monticello NW MN. Ha! ) The kids were great. No climbing on the cabooses this year and at the end of the day, they asked for brooms to help sweep. Nice. Anyways, the bus drivers came in just driving in every which direction. Okay, its not real bus friendly coming into Maplelag, kinda like riding a tandem around the Cable Crit course but if you check it out, take your time, it works, just like the winter when we host ski meets and you have snow piles everywhere and the drivers get it done.

This guy pulled a bit too far and got stuck.

Left some real nice ruts that I guess we just should take care of, which I did later afternoon with the bobcat.
Its turning out to not be a very good month with buses at Maplelag. Andrii, the student from Ukraine who went home last week put a nice scratch on the Gustavus bus when they were here. He walks into the lodge and says "Zy hit zee buz" What? So we go take a look and see the small scratches below. We asked him what happened: "Zy wanted to ztop zo Zy prezzed on zee brake but it waz zee gaz" Thats going to cost us $2500. No collision on the green pickup.
Jake doing a one footer. Talking about building a gap jump in the Nordic terrain park. Trying to talk him out of it. Would work well for the winter though.
