In the latest Velonews tech and training column, Monique Ryan highlights "what the Pros eat". Has Georgia Gould and Phil Zajicek examples for a day based on various rides scheduled. The usual seven grained, hot cereal, soy milk all the good stuff we should all know by now is there with even ounce sizes highlighted. I think two months ago they had Adam Craig's meal plan. Even his was healthy and wholesome. I remember one skinnyski hs camp, Maria Stewart said its better to eat something, even twinkies, then nothing at all as she would witness some younger skiers afraid to before or after a race. I'm waiting for the meal plan that has something like "well, I start out with some sausage in the morning becuase it tastes good, then fry up some bacon so I have the grease to base my eggs and like my Grandpa would do, pour the leftover grease into the hot cereal"

Yep, if you are going to do eggs easy up, there is nothing like spashing them with the bacon grease for full flavor. I'm always pushing big breakfasts on the kids, most important meal of the day, and I''ll cook anything with orders taken the night before.

Jake's too cool to use the Bob the Builder, Hercules and Scooby Doo plates like the youngers.
The Karmas don't work so well on wet leaves covering the roots.
Still a great ride last night when the sun popped out. I still like taking the line to my left on the last lakeside drop. Personally we think the drops are riding quite nicely after two races this year.

Most of the leaves are down off the maples. I figure we are 7-10 days ahead of schedule. I haven't looked at any 30 day stuff but I bet we have another week or two of this weather pattern then things get cold and maybe a shot of snow. I touched base with Doug at West Yellowstone last night and he said it was skiable on the plateau yesterday. They have mid 20's forecasted for lows later this week. If we go this year, it will be last minute for sure and earlier November.

Jeez, look at all that kid eats and he is still skinny. You better push him to eat a couple more snausages or sticky buns. I wish my breakfasts were that good. Mine's not that bad tough, 2 eggs with cheese in a bagel every morning. I might even throw some ham or turkey in there too. hope to see you this weekend.
