Wow, what a great weekend for the ski camps. The weather was perfect and some really nice skiing. Today's frosty conditions were incredible and when the sun came out it was surreal. Always nice to have the skinnyskiers help out . Most positive and always smiling and willing to help out the kids. Thanks folks.

Dave frosted nicely after a morning ski. Bruce said one of the kids made a comment to Dave "how come you are so happy" If there is a inch of skiable snow, Dave and Josie are smiling.

Bruce and co. ready for ski games.
The kids were great. Super nice and appreciative. We had about 200 kids here and 6 teams. This is just a tiny scratch on the number of kids in Nordic. Its really encouraging and as Kate Ellis said "the cream of the crop" Probably the most interesting comment on the weekend was the coach of the boys team that was here and said one of his kids didn't really know what to do when he opened the door of the sauna and saw 20 girls in bikinis in the sauna.....
Since we haven't had a lot of skier traffic, I was curious how the snow would hold up. The snow is very silky but firm underneath. Nothing like a couple hundred kids skiing tons of laps to buff things out. Just what the snow needed. Grooming can only do so much. What a great start to the season and to not have to do all that shoveling like December last year....whew.
