Wow, another fantastic weekend capping off a great week of skiing. O Bros in town over the weekend and hooked up with them on Saturday morning for a ski. Good times. Great conditions. Thanks guys.

Sunday JOQ racing at Rainbow. Lars had a good race, waving the flag nicely, coming in fourth. Jake and I went over later to do the Citizen 10k. If Jake did license racing, he would of done the 5k J3 but since he raced on Saturday, Sunday was a training race. We ran into Lars right away so we skied the 1.5k loop for a warm up. Bruce at the race catching some great pics once again of all the racers
Race moved up a half hour so not much time to warm up but didn't care about trying to close the gap to Dubay. Just for fun and to clean out the system. Hans Stadem was 30 seconds in front of me and had the goal I guess to try and catch him. I did on the second lap and was able to hold him off. For minimal sleep, lack of high intensity training.... blah blah, I felt great and had a blast. Perfect conditions. Uphills a bit cheezed out from all the racing earlier in the day but skiing on sugar is sweet. I was coughing out 4 weeks of snowmobile exhaust so that felt good. Next race??? Who knows. Thinking about the Birkie exhausts me. I could do it but to hold the pace I had yesterday for 2 more hours....yikes.

Climbing the big pine hill. Great climb. Jake started 15 sec in front of me and I passed him right before the climb.
Do we look related?

The 35k skate at the Vasaloppet is the top of the list. Not my kind of course but the people and downtown finish are the best. Moraloppet is a few weeks before on the 2nd, the day before COL which is second on the list and I have never done and hope to maybe this year. Sunday racing is a bit easier to sneak away to.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the snow!! Sorry we missed the outing, the trails look awesome!

Nice race Jake, looks like you only need to shave 4 minutes off your 10K!! As for the form, you have had a good teacher! Good luck the rest of the season, to you both!!
