On Monday Jake had oral surgery to remove a tooth that was basically sideways so the braces could do their thing. Today he was jibbing. Tonight he said his mouth was sore. I wonder why. Jonell said he can figure it out himself. With no school again today, it was a bummer it was so cold (-34 this morning!!) that the kids couldn't spend too much time outside but they all got out for some skiing and skating.

Photos from Bemidji:

Steve finishing up a nice race in the 25k classic,
Lars pulling away from us old guys to take the win in the 25k skate,
and Summer taking the win in the Pursuit. With the kids off today, we took them up to Fargo to see Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. The best part was watching Jack and Jens the rest of us were waving the flag for the home team type of thing. Went to eat afterwards and I got carded when order Pacifico. Either they thought Jonell and I were babysitting or my frostbite cheeks make me look younger because I don't know many 21 year olds with four kids. Driving to Fargo, I was thinking the fields are in great shape for some crust cruising if the conditions are right. With the big time wind events in recent weeks, the snow is all turned and hard and a few days of melt freeze there could be some serious fun between Callaway and Hawley. Also have been scoping out the fields that have drops and what not where there has been some big time drifting. Hopefully we can get rural country famers field assault jib day in.
Some special packages came right before we left....I didn't even have to ask the cat to stand guard. Nicely done cat.
