Turned out to be a great day to ski all the trails. Conditions were just about perfect. Fast and firm tracks, temps in the 20's falling to the upper teens and sunshine. Windy a little bit but not an issue really in the woods.
The way the morning started Lars and I both thought it would be cloudy but cleared off nicely and skiing this time of year with long days and sunshine is the best.

We did all the classic trails in just over 3 hours. We had Sap Run, Mother Hen and all the western trails done in one hour. I thought either we will do it in record time or I was going to blow sky high but I kept the fluids going and gel every 45 min and one bar halfway through. The northern trails I thought were the best and Roy's Run was basically a double pole fest. We stopped once for about five minutes to wax and get fueled. My wax went on Bullhead trail but still skied two more trails after that but wish I would of waxed earlier because I am feeling it big time in my arms now.....it's all good though. Ended the day with the skate trails and that felt really nice. Different muscles and good loosen up. Skating was super fast but just the right amount for edging. Total time was 3:45 of skiing on about 64 or so of km. 1 hour faster than last year.

Hope all this skiing is going to make us that much faster on the bike this year.Roads are starting to dry out down here.Did a couple glide & rides.Still going to try to get one or two skis a week in as long as there's some snow.Love skiing!
Be Blessed!

10-4. My feeling is in July and August you will be unbeatable!! Thinking of maybe riding early next week but I know when I ride past the trails with tons of snow I will be wishing I was skiing because once its gone, its gone, and a guy can ride into November. You should do the Pole Pedal Pant at Rainbow next weekend. The best of both worlds and just gut out the running.
