Results wise, it has been a tough go for US mountain bikers at the World Championships. Saw the JR race had a winning time around 1.5 hours. In the Swiss Power Cup races, same deal with the times. Those guys are riding way faster than the jr riders in the US slogging it out for 2 hours at Nationals and the local races. I remember when we went to the Nationals with Zigs and he was racing over 2 hours. Its tough. I talked to Don about shorter distances for JR riders. He said it is something they are addressing Nationally so hopefully it happens. Talked to Lars and he debated racing Expert at Crested Butte this weekend. 30 miles at 10,000 feet is a grind. Its hard enough getting JR riders to come up the ranks and racing these long distances burn riders out.

Spotted in DL.
Craziness to week continues. Appointment for green truck to get new tires in front falls through as delivery guy from Fargo decided to forget it, take the day off and went fishing instead. Hope he caught some fish. Dad then heads up to Fargo to pick up Turkey student but he isn't there. Get a call four hours later and someone from United Airlines in Chicago and asks if I speak Turkish. Makes you want to put a milk crate on the back of your bike and go sell fish to homes in Sayulita.
