Every Tuesday after school, Jack has been bowling in this youth league. Today Jacked bowled a 107 in his first game. He was on a roll and pinned a 128 on his second game. Scored the patch.
In the 128 game, things looked like they were going south with just one pin knocked down on the first toss but he rebounded nicely to score the spare and then went two strikes and was thinking turkey but hit a seven before a solid 10th frame. Nicely done Jack.
The last time I bowled was with the K2A2 contingent in West Dover VT. But that was "real" bowling or "candlepin" bowling. I wonder if they have a old tyme bowling alley in Granby.
In the old movie "Revenge of the Telemarkers", they ask a guy what sport is most similar to tele skiing and the guy says bowling. Check out the knee placement and you can see it for sure.
Any babies rolling into Maplelag this year, usually find some snuggling time in Jonell's arms. We won't be tossing anything into the oven in our household but instead wait for the day if we should be so lucky to be Grandparents. Yikes! That could be 10 years.
Never really recapped the weekend. A lot of trips back and forth to Fargo. We would of stayed up there more but the way the schedule worked out, we came back. Managed to catch five games. Three on Friday. We lost the first two games which put us in the 4th bracket, won the first game and got rematch with West Fargo but lost 1-2 and finished off with lost to FF 0-1. One more game on the year then a break and a little AAA hockey. Jon getting some looks and looking like playing with a team out of Moorhead. Hmmm.
Did sneak over to Rainbow after grooming 3 hours early morning for their race on Saturday. Bummer not a larger field and basically a race between Jake, Dylan and I. It was -7 at the start with a fierce wind but the sun was out in full force and Jake waxed my skis very nice. They were fast and quite a bit faster than Jakes who said he waxed the same. Anyways, wanted to break 30 minutes and did that with 28:53 or something and beat Jake by about 20 seconds or so. Felt good to burn the lungs and clean out the system so to speak. My hands were sweating which was a first because normally they freeze off. Got back home, groomed a few more hours then went back up to Fargo for another game. Sunday we watched the final between Edina and Minnetonka. Pretty impressive hockey for that age. Section 8aa final in TRF tomorrow night. Whole family going along with some friends. Should be a great game.
