Tuesday we had the Detroit Lakes Invitational at Maplelag. Could not of asked for a nicer day, considering the cold weather as of late. Sunny, 10 degrees and no wind. The course was in great shape and tracks and skate lanes we strive for. A continuous pursuit with skiers skiing 5km classic then switching to skate skis for a 5km. Jake took his second win of the year having a nice battle with Matt Lee of Bemidji. They were neck and neck at the bottom of Suicide Hill then Jake attacked on the hill and put a small gap that stuck until the end of the race.





Coming down the finishing stretch (Brian Basham photo). Big meet at Biwabik on Saturday that will be a good measuring stick to see how everyone in the state stacks against each other. The only time outside the state meet that the top dogs race against each other. An awesome event. Hope to make it.

That evening Jack had a scrimmage in between halves at the varsity game vs Moorhead. Jack made his basket which was the only one scored. Nicely done Jack. DL doesn't play MHD in hockey anymore. Was quite the rival with potatoes and fish being thrown on the ice and the arenas were always packed and police all over the place.
