Should of know it was going to be a interesting week when the cat was licking the ears of Jib before the start of break. Last time the cat was that close to Jib was this summer when the cat was a half inch away from death, Jib just missing the cat. Figured it out though the cat is making friends with the dogs so it can eat their food. Probably why it is so big now.
New Years eve we had a bit of a scare on the trails when a guest had a heart attack. The response to the event was amazing with two guests that are Dr. on the scene within minutes, just passing by and great response time by the White Earth EMTs. Thoughts and prayers with the family as they patiently wait for the best. New Years day event was my dad getting locked into the elevator with a guest for 45 minutes. It was during lunch when people were walking around in ski boots, noisy and we couldn't hear the alarm. All ended out fine. Next day a couple freeze ups but that is to be expected when the temp tanked like it did. All in all a great Holiday week, the busiest of the year and snow was pretty much right on.
Jake had a few meets over break and also jumped in with Eden Prairie ski team here when they did a tt. Jake took first Varsity win taking the Deer River event.Congrats! Course groomed this evening for DL invite tomorrow. Looks like the warmest day of the week and course should be fast and fun.

Jon had a tourney over the weekend in Bemidji. A real nice tourney. Was able to catch one of the five games, running up early Saturday morning when the temp was -40 zipping across Ponsford prairie. The team didn't end up as well as they hoped. Couple ties and a close loss in pool play put them at last seed in pool. I like to look at the positives coming out of it and that was the tie vs Rogers which lost to eventual tourney champ Bemidji 1-2. If they play like they did the first period of the Rogers game can skate with any PWA team in the state imo. Hopefully they had fun and came out learning something.
