Today was the last day of school for the kids. Most years you say " I can't believe school has ended" But this year it seemed like school should of ended a few weeks ago with the summer like weather we have been experiencing. Great school year. All four boys did awesome in school. No one getting sick with flu etc. even with no flu or swine flu shot. During the school year figured we drank 275 gallons of milk. Jon grew the most with 2 1/2" gained from start to finish.
Fired up some wood fired pizza on the grill for lunch. After 3-4 times this year, think I got it figured out. Have all the coals on the right side and keep the other side clear. Throw the pie on for a few minutes to set up the crust on the hot side then pull it to the side with no coals and cover to melt cheese etc. 325 degrees seems to be ideal.
Jake was done early so he joined us for lunch. Two more years and Jake will be done. Jonell thought we should have the Spring mtb race and grad party same weekend. Sounds good to me.
Been pulling/finding ticks including the above deer tick pretty much daily. Has to be one of the bigger deer ticks I have seen. Damn things. Mosquitoes must of hatched big time tonight because they are out in full force.
Jonell put the hummingbird feeders out this week and they came instantly. The above bird likes to perch on the handle of this candlelikelanternthing Jonell bought. Had a red shirt on yesterday and that was exciting standing between the two feeders.
